Lead Project Documentation Engineer (Data Centres) - Ireland The Role Bridging the gap between site engineering and project management, the Lead Documentation Engineer owns the technical integrity of the project's data. You will oversee the end-to-end documentation lifecycle, managing the "Information Exchange" between subcontractors and the client to ensure a seamless, "zero-defect" handover for a hyperscale Data Centre. Key Responsibilities Workflow Ownership: Design and enforce the technical submittal and RFI workflows within the CDE (Procore/BIM 360/Aconex). Technical Quality Control: Lead the final review of Mechanical, Electrical, and CSA handover packs, ensuring they meet strict "Mission Critical" standards. Team Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact between Site Engineers and the Project Manager to resolve documentation bottlenecks. Handover Management: Drive the Digital Completion strategy, ensuring O&M manuals and "As-Builts" are developed concurrently with construction, not at the end. Compliance Lead: Ensure all project data adheres to BCAR, ISO 19650 (BIM), and client-specific technical specifications. Requirements Education: Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical preferred) or similar Experience: 5+ years in Data Centre or heavy industrial construction; experience leading the documentation lifecycle for at least one full project cycle. Expertise: Deep mastery of Procore, Aconex, or BIM 360 from an admin/lead perspective. Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specs to verify documentation accuracy.
