Job Title: Principal Software Engineer (Full-Stack) Location: Galway Contract Type: Permanent Working Pattern: Full Time Are you ready to take the next step in your career? Join our client's dynamic team as a Principal Software Engineer (Full-Stack)! In this role, you'll be at the forefront of developing and maintaining a pivotal product for the Investment organization, collaborating closely with business and technology partners across Ireland and the US. If you are passionate about innovative solutions and thrive in a collaborative environment, this is the opportunity for you! What You'll Do: - Lead the design and architecture of high-quality, innovative software solutions within an Agile environment. - Drive the implementation of best practices in application design and development. - Mentor and guide junior engineers to foster growth across global teams. - Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment with long-term strategies. - Embrace new technologies, focusing on automation and streamlining processes, including leveraging GenAI development assist tools. The Expertise You Have: - A BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 6+ years of experience in software application design and development. - Proficiency in Java/J2EE, Spring/Spring Boot, Angular (nice to have), and REST Services. - Extensive experience with Cloud technologies, particularly AWS (EKS, EC2, RDS, Docker). - Strong background in automated unit testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and performance testing. The Skills You Bring: - A solid understanding of the Agile software development methodology. - Excellent written and oral communication skills-able to convey technical concepts effectively. - Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to tackle complex technical challenges. - A proactive approach to learning and adopting new cloud technologies. - Proven leadership and mentoring skills to inspire and guide your peers.
