Our environment is filled with hard-working, dynamic individuals who come together to ensure the success of our partner dermatologists./ph3Job Description/h3pCollect patient information/history, taking vitals and performing screenings per provider guidelines./ppUse sterile technique to prepare procedure rooms and surgical trays./ppComply with all company policies and procedures in adherence to HIPAA regulations./ppObtain a pertinent patient history and physical, communicating the information back to the dermatologic surgeon. Describe removal of the lesion, repair options, and postoperative wound care./ppAssist with documentation in EMR./ppRecord, manage, and update malignant and non-malignant pathology results in log./ppDrape and prepare surgical site while maintaining sterile field, numb surgical site by injecting local anesthesia, achieve hemostasis using handheld cautery device, bandage patients appropriately based on surgical site./ppAssist physician during all procedures (passing instruments, blotting, cutting sutures, etc)./ppAdditional direct patient care responsibilities available with experience./ppGap year students welcome! Ideally, we are looking for at least a two-year commitment but will seriously consider exceptional candidates for a shorter one-year term bachelors degree candidates interested in later going on to PA Nursing or Medical school./ph3Qualifications/h3pHave a passion for taking care of people/ppAbility to be a team player in a fast-paced environment/ppMust have reliable transportation/ph3Job Type/h3pFull-time: Monday-Friday/ph3Education/h3pHigh school diploma or equivalent is required/ppA college graduate or other individual interested in exploring opportunities in an in-office surgical setting/ppSuccessful completion of the Medical Assistant program or equivalent hospital program preferred./ph3Experience/h3pMinimum of one-year work experience in a medical practice preferred/ppWill train a motivated, hardworking candidate.
