The Lockheed Martin Artificial Intelligence Center (LAIC) is seeking a highly skilled leader to head the AI Consulting portfolio, a role that requires a unique blend of technical expertise in software engineering and AI/ML, as well as strong business acumen and communication skills. Who are you: You are a highly skilled leader with a unique blend of technical expertise in software engineering and AI/ML, as well as strong business acumen and communication skills. You have hands-on experience in developing and deploying AI solutions, and are able to collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and develop associated statistical models. You possess a combination of skills, including: • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Programming knowledge and experience with machine learning and software engineering • Excellent communication skills to understand business needs and communicate the value of AI models • Business focus and creative thinking to quickly cycle hypotheses through the discovery phase of projects • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and drive projects through to completion

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with at least 5 years of professional experience. Alternatively, a Master's degree with 3 years of professional experience.• Significant experience in applying machine learning techniques to business problems (natural language processing, deep learning, anomaly detection, reinforcement learning).
• Experience with Python, Typescript, or compiled languages like C++, Golang, etc
• Experience with developing software and software engineering best practices.
• Must be a US Citizen
