They are now looking for a Microsoft Cloud Engineer to join them on a full-time, permanent basis. The Role As a Microsoft Cloud Engineer, you'll be tasked with delivering level 2 support to a range of customers, focusing on cloud services. This role combines reactive support escalations with proactive project delivery. Approximately 70% of time will be spent on support escalations across Azure infrastructure, Microsoft 365, and third-party software, with the remaining 30% dedicated to project work, including new AVD deployments, environment upgrades, and lifecycle management. You will work across multiple client environments, including host pools, session hosts, FSLogix profiles, scaling plans, and image lifecycle management, and administer Azure networking virtual networks, NSGs, DNS, VPN Gateways, and related connectivity services. Additionally, you will: - Manage user identity, access and security permissions across Entra ID environments - Support the administration of Microsoft 365 platforms, including Teams, SharePoint and Exchange Online - Develop automation and operational scripting using PowerShell and Azure CLI - Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud and endpoint support issues - Support endpoint configuration and device management through Intune Please note, you will be required to take part in an on-call out-of-hours rota, with an additional supplement provided. About You To be considered as a Microsoft Cloud Engineer, you will need: - At least three years experience within a managed service provider (MSP) environment - Proven experience with Microsoft Azure in a production, multi-tenant environment - Solid working knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop deployment, management, and troubleshooting - Strong Microsoft 365 administration experience across Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Entra ID - Experience managing Windows endpoints in an enterprise or MSP environment - Proficiency in PowerShell for scripting and operational automation - Ticketing and PSA platform experience, such as Autotask or HaloPSA - AZ-104 Microsoft Azure Administrator certification Other organisations may call this role Azure Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, Microsoft 365 Engineer, Cloud Support Engineer, Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer, or Modern Workplace Engineer.
