Role Description This is a contract, on-site role for a Senior Embedded Linux Engineer, based in the Michigan. The Senior Embedded Linux Engineer will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining Linux-based systems. Daily tasks will include configuring and customizing the Linux kernel, performing system administration, troubleshooting infrastructure and kernel-level issues, and ensuring system stability and performance. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver robust embedded solutions is a key aspect of this role. Qualifications Strong expertise in Linux System Administration and general System Administration Proficiency in Linux Kernel development and customization Proven skills in troubleshooting and problem-solving within Linux environments Understanding of infrastructure and experience in optimizing system-level performance Ability to work collaboratively on projects with cross-functional teams Relevant Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field Experience in embedded systems and real-time operating systems is a plus Familiarity with scripting languages and automation tools is advantageous
