What You'll Do
- Train, support, and guide individuals served in production and day programming skills
- Promote growth, well-being, and autonomy through positive role modeling and choice-based support
- Create a warm, upbeat, team-focused environment rooted in dignity and respect
- Implement behavior supports, skill-building plans, and vocational goals outlined in each person's Plan for the Future
- Assist with vocational assessments, team meetings, and progress reports
- Support and guide other DSPs, including monitoring documentation and quality standards
- Maintain accurate records including data collection, MARs, IFRs, and reports
- Become medication certified and follow all medication and safety protocols
- Ensure quality control of production work and train others on procedures
- Know emergency procedures and lead monthly fire drills
- Attend staff meetings and agency trainings
- Step into supervisory coverage when needed and help keep operations running smoothly
Schedule
- MondayFriday, 8 AM 4:30 PM
- Flexibility required to cover shifts as needed
- May carry the supervisor work cell phone when covering leadership duties
What We're Looking For
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- At least 6 months experience as a DSP or similar role ; one year preferred
- Experience supporting people with disabilities (required)
- Strong knowledge of behavior supports, vocational training, and team collaboration
- Valid driver's license with a clear driving record
- Ability to assist with lifting and transfers up to 50 lbs
