wants your work to be respected, your time valued, and your schedule sustainable? JUST TABLE IT is hiring exceptional personal chefs in the Triangle. We are a well-established, growing company (8+ years in business) providing in-home personal chef services and elevated, intimate dining experiences. Our work is rooted in creating ease, joy, and gorgeous food for our clients...and in building a work environment where chefs can do their best work without burnout. Our chefs create highly personalized menus based on each client’s preferences, dietary needs, and lifestyle. This is not restaurant cooking. This is a thoughtful, detail-driven, in-home service where both the food
and
the experience matter. If you’re an incredible chef with strong communication skills and a high standard for your work, we’d love to have you on our team. Immediate Opening Monday through Friday for one primary household Prepare dinner for two people each day (5 dinners per week) Meals are prepared earlier in the day for the client to finish and enjoy in the evening (thoughtfulness around reheating is essential) Handle menu planning, grocery shopping, packaging, labeling, and storing meals each cook day Maintain a clean, organized kitchen Follow client preferences and dietary needs closely Communicate updates and feedback through Just Table It Work in a quiet, unobtrusive manner within the home This Household Requires Strong experience with vegetarian cooking Strict adherence to nut-free and seed-free practices High attention to detail and awareness of cross-contamination Growth Opportunity As Just Table It continues to grow, this role may expand to include: Additional client households Multiple cookdates per day Greater autonomy across a client portfolio Leadership or chef/manager opportunities for the right candidate What We’re Looking For Strong culinary skills with consistent execution High attention to detail and pride in your work Organized, efficient, and self-directed Professional and respectful in a client’s home Able to work quietly and independently Open to feedback and able to adapt menus over time Reliable and communicative Standards & Support We hold a high standard for both the food we create and the experience we provide. At the same time, we believe great chefs do their best work with strong support. You’ll have clear systems, structured communication, and guidance - so you’re never left figuring things out on your own. This is a role with autonomy
and
support. Requirements Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Ability to independently shop and execute menus ServSafe certified (or willing to obtain) Up-to-date on Tdap and seasonal flu vaccinations Must not work while ill and be comfortable with a health-conscious household Ability to pass a background check Compensation Starting at $25/hour after training, with opportunity for growth Paid weekly through QuickBooks Consistent, ongoing work with opportunity for increased hours To Apply Please include a cover letter answering the following: Describe your culinary experience Why are you interested in this role?
