Job SummaryHospitality Associate Leader functions in the Hospitality Associate role as well as assists with scheduling, coverage, problem solving and training. Hospitality Associate Lead directs traffic flow and provides assistance at the Hospital Entrances. They help with wheelchairs and scooters as needed along with way-finding and assistance to the patient/family's destination.
Essential Functions- Leader Duties: Assist Supervisor/Manager with team scheduling and coverage. Participate in hiring interviews as needed.
- Support problem solving and giving direction to the team when Supervisor/Manager is not present. Train all new Entrance Team members.
- Present an excellent first impression to all customers by greeting promptly with a warm and friendly reception. a. Provide hospital way-finding for patients and visitors. b. Support patient, family, guest information needs, including appropriate hospital resources to assist in problem resolution c. Maintain a clean and tidy entrance space, inside and outside the door. d. Maintain professionalism and diplomacy at all times, following specific standards as defined in the department professionalism policy.
- Perform service recovery and conflict resolution for unhappy guests. Work with Service Excellence to support positive outcomes and resolution to customer needs.
- Assist patients and families in and out of their vehicles as needed at the hospital entrances.
- Assist with Lost and Found services as needed.
- Maintain proper traffic controls at entrances to avoid congestion and prohibit illegal parking. Work with the Security & Valet teams as needed.
- Assist with cab, bus vouchers and other transportation as needed.
- Utilize effective communication skills to incorporate specific age, culture and developmental needs.
- Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Leadership and superior interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service & communication skills
- Computer skills
- Must be able to push a patient/guest in a wheelchair
Preferred
- College degree
- BLS, AHA or ARC
