This role is based in Chicago, Illinois. The Content Creator is a hands-on, creative storyteller responsible for producing engaging, platform-specific content across Vera Bradley's priority social channels, including Instagram and TikTok. This role plays a critical part in bringing the brand to life through content that is culturally relevant, on-trend, and tailored to how audiences engage on each platform. Reporting to the Social Media & Influencer Manager, this role executes the social strategy through the development, capture, and editing of short-form video and static content. This individual understands the distinct role each channel plays and creates content accordingly ensuring we are not duplicating content across platforms but optimizing how audiences consume content on each. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Concept, shoot, and edit high-quality, platform-native content for Instagram, TikTok, and emerging social channels Translate brand campaigns, product priorities, and cultural moments into compelling, social-first storytelling Execute against the content calendar with timely, on-brand delivery of assets Capture content across a variety of environments, including in-office, on-location, and at events or shoots as needed Comfortable both behind and in front of the camera is a plus, with the ability to confidently create on-camera content when needed Create content tailored to the unique behaviors, formats, and expectations of each platform (e.g., differentiating TikTok vs. Instagram approaches) Maintain a strong pulse on trends, audio, creators, and platform updates to inform content creation Identify opportunities for reactive and real-time content that drives relevance and engagement Continuously test and evolve content formats based on performance and platform best practices Partner closely with the Social Media & Influencer Manager to bring campaigns to life through content Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Merchandising, Design, Brand Marketing) to align on product priorities and storytelling Organize and maintain content libraries to support ongoing and future needs Apply performance insights and engagement trends to inform and improve creative output Contribute ideas that support audience growth, engagement, and brand relevance Education And/Or Experience
Bachelor's degree in design, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred 1+ years of experience in social-first content creation within fashion, lifestyle, or consumer brands Portfolio showcasing platform-specific content across Instagram and TikTok (required for application) Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Ability to work with minimal direction, showing strong initiative. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills.
