As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will prepare patients and procedure rooms, verify patient identity and consent, and ensure all equipment, supplies, and monitoring systems are ready and functioning according to established protocols. You will scrub, circulate, and monitor during cases, applying strict sterile technique and adhering to radiation safety standards while operating imaging and hemodynamic monitoring equipment. You will acquire and analyze hemodynamic and ECG data, recognize significant changes in patient status, and promptly communicate critical information to the physician and care team.
You will be responsible for accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record, including procedure details, supplies used, medications administered by the team, and patient responses. The role involves supporting patient care before, during, and after procedures, providing clear explanations, reassurance, and education to patients and families, and assisting with patient transport and positioning as needed. You will participate in emergency responses within the cath lab, contributing to resuscitation efforts in accordance with ACLS and hospital protocols.
This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. You will work within a culture that emphasizes integrity, compassion, accountability, and collaboration, actively supporting an inclusive and team-oriented atmosphere. You will also contribute to continuous quality improvement by following evidence-based practice, participating in performance initiatives, and assisting with equipment checks, maintenance reporting, and inventory control for cath lab supplies.
