À propos

Performance Foodservice, a leading national food distributor delivering over 150,000 food and food-related products to customers across the United States, is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Driver, Shuttle Formula to support our Food & Beverage Operations within the Transportation & Logistics department. In this role, you will operate company shuttle vehicles to move palletized and cased food products between company facilities, cross-docks, and key customer locations, ensuring accurate, timely, and courteous deliveries that support our customers’ operations and our regional sales and distribution activities. The Driver, Shuttle Formula is responsible for safely operating tractors, straight trucks, and/or box trucks (and trailers where applicable) in compliance with all DOT, state, and company regulations. You will load, secure, transport, and unload food and food-related products using pallet jacks, liftgates, and other material-handling equipment, maintaining product integrity and ensuring accurate counts against bills of lading and dispatch documents. Attention to detail is critical as you verify route manifests, inspect loads, and complete all required delivery and pickup documentation using both paper logs and handheld or on-board computer systems. You will begin and end your day with thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any defects and coordinating with maintenance to ensure equipment safety and reliability. Throughout each shift, you will follow established shuttle routes and schedules, communicate regularly with dispatch and warehouse teams regarding delays or issues, and adjust to changing priorities while still meeting service expectations. Because we operate in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, you will frequently interact with warehouse associates, supervisors, and occasionally customers, representing Performance Foodservice with a professional, customer-service-focused attitude. This position requires working in a variety of conditions, including refrigerated and frozen environments, loading docks, and outdoor weather. You will regularly lift, push, and pull heavy cases and pallets, maneuver material-handling equipment in tight spaces, and maintain a high level of situational awareness around other vehicles, pedestrians, and warehouse operations. Adherence to all food safety, product-handling, and personal safety standards is essential, including proper stacking, securing of loads, and protecting temperature-sensitive products. Performance Foodservice’s culture emphasizes teamwork, innovation, and exceptional customer service. As a Driver, Shuttle Formula, you will contribute directly to that culture by collaborating with transportation and logistics colleagues to improve route efficiency, reduce errors, and support new processes and technologies. You may assist with training less-experienced drivers on procedures, safe driving practices, and the use of on-board systems, and will be expected to proactively report opportunities to enhance service and operational performance. This role is ideal for candidates with prior commercial or route-driving experience, particularly in foodservice, grocery, or distribution environments, who are comfortable with physical work and operating in a structured, safety-first setting. A clean driving record and strong knowledge of DOT regulations are important, and prior experience with ELDs, GPS routing, or warehouse management systems is highly valued. Performance Foodservice offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for long-term growth within our regional transportation, logistics, and broader foodservice operations.
