Methodist Health System is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technologist RCIS to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team, supporting our mission to improve and save lives with compassion and high-quality care. As a key member of the cardiovascular team, you will work in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment within our cardiac catheterization lab, collaborating closely with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional diagnostic and interventional cardiac care. In this role, you will prepare patients and procedure rooms for a wide range of invasive cardiovascular procedures, including diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, coronary interventions, vascular procedures, and hemodynamic assessments. You will operate specialized imaging and monitoring equipment, including fluoroscopy systems and hemodynamic recorders, ensuring accurate image acquisition and real-time monitoring of patient status throughout procedures. The Cardiovascular Technologist RCIS will apply advanced knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology to support physicians in performing complex procedures, including coronary angiography, angioplasty, stent placement, and other interventional therapies. You will maintain strict adherence to sterile technique, radiation safety practices, and infection control standards to protect patients, colleagues, and yourself. Continuous patient assessment and communication are essential, as you will help monitor vital signs, rhythm changes, and overall patient condition, responding promptly to changes and assisting during emergency situations such as arrhythmias, hemodynamic instability, or cardiac arrest. You will document procedures accurately and thoroughly within the electronic health record, capturing procedural details, equipment use, contrast volumes, and patient responses in accordance with department and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate brings prior experience in a cardiac catheterization or interventional lab, strong technical aptitude with imaging and monitoring systems, and the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure. RCIS certification and current BLS are required or must be obtained within an established timeframe, with ACLS strongly preferred. As an on-site clinical role, this position may require participation in rotating shifts, on-call coverage, and occasional weekends or holidays to meet patient care needs.
