Interim Obstetrics Manager Needed in Dubuque, Iowa!

The Position

  • An Interim Obstetrics Manager is needed to provide operational and clinical leadership for a busy women's services department in an acute care setting.
  • Reporting to the Director, this leader will oversee a team of 47 FTEs.
  • Key responsibilities include supporting daily unit operations, overseeing staffing and workflow, maintaining quality and patient safety standards, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring excellent patient care delivery across obstetrics and neonatal services.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong women's services leadership experience in obstetrics, labor and delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care environments. Must be highly organized, patient-focused, and able to adapt quickly to changing needs. Excellent communication skills will be critical.
  • Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance.

Requirements

  • BSN required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Active RN license required.
  • Minimum of two years of nursing leadership experience within women's services required, including labor and delivery, postpartum, nursery, and NICU oversight experience. EPIC EMR experience preferred.

Compensation Details

  • Compensation Range: $140,000 to $150,000 annually.
  • The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation. Additionally, some candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, depending on the specific role, including but not limited to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits.
  • The listed base compensation range represents a good faith estimate of potential earnings at the time of this job posting and may be subject to future adjustments.
