Physical Therapist

Altru Rehabilitation Hospital, part of Altru Health System, is seeking a compassionate and patient-centered Physical Therapist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team in our integrated rehabilitation setting. In this role, you will evaluate and treat patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological, and post-surgical conditions, helping them restore function, improve mobility, and enhance their overall quality of life. You will complete comprehensive physical therapy evaluations, develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans, and deliver interventions such as therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait and balance training, and patient and family education. You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team—including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and case managers—to coordinate care and ensure safe, timely progression toward functional goals and discharge planning. Documentation of assessments, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries will be completed accurately and in a timely manner using the electronic medical record, in compliance with regulatory and payer requirements. You will actively engage in outcomes tracking, quality improvement initiatives, and best-practice implementation while mentoring or precepting students and less experienced staff as needed.
