Lab Technician - Riada Resourcing

The Role:

• £Negotiable salary 
• Annual bonus of 8% on top of salary 
• Full time
• Monday - Friday 
• Permanent position 

Duties: 

• Maintain accurate and legible records of all samples submitted into the laboratory
• Administration of Certificate of Analysis and other product related documentation
• Data trending
• Equipment Daily Calibrations
• Ordering of laboratory chemicals and consumables
• Daily/ weekly/ monthly laboratory checks on equipment as required
• Chemical/waste and sample disposal
• General housekeeping in the laboratory including glassware rotation
• Preparation of solutions, buffers and eluents
• Support the Analytical Chemists
• Be flexible to demands of the role.

EHS Responsibilities:

• Ensures that the Engineering Department conforms with company quality and EHS policies, procedures and management system requirements and complies with GxP and EHS regulatory requirements.
• Contributes to achievement of EHS performance targets by:
• Participating in EHS Meetings.
• Carrying out periodic EHS inspections.
• Periodically reviewing risk assessments.
• Reporting near misses/ raising good suggestions.
• Managing contractors ensuring they are following EHS guidelines

Criteria:

•  Educated to ‘A’ level or equivalent in a Science related subject or have suitable experience.
• Have an interest in laboratory work.
• Attention to detail.
• Understanding of EH&S.
• Ability to work unaided and use initiative.
• Computer literate.
