MECHANICAL SUPERVISOR An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our client, a respected engineering and manufacturing organisation delivering complex mechanical and modular solutions into regulated, infrastructure-led sectors. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality mechanical installation and maintenance across a busy project-driven environment. THE COMPANY Our client is a long-established engineering and manufacturing business supporting critical industries with high-specification mechanical, modular, and engineered solutions. Operating in technically demanding environments, they are recognised for exceptional standards in safety, quality, and delivery performance. Continued growth has created the need for a strong mechanical leader to oversee site-based mechanical activities in the Limerick region. THE ROLE The Mechanical Supervisor will take responsibility for coordinating, supervising, and driving mechanical works across multiple projects, ensuring compliance, productivity, and technical excellence. Key responsibilities include: Mechanical leadership - Supervising mechanical teams, contractors, and trades to ensure safe and efficient work execution. Work planning - Organising daily/weekly work schedules, labour allocation, and resource planning. Quality oversight - Ensuring all mechanical installations meet required specifications, drawings, and industry standards. Safety compliance - Enforcing site safety protocols, toolbox talks, and risk assessments. Progress reporting - Monitoring progress, identifying issues, and reporting to project and site management. Technical problem-solving - Troubleshooting mechanical issues and supporting engineering teams with solutions. Stakeholder coordination - Liaising with operations, engineering, procurement, and subcontractors to ensure alignment. Continuous improvement - Driving improvements in installation methods, productivity, and mechanical standards. This is a hands-on supervisory role with strong visibility across the organisation's project delivery function. THE PERSON Our client is seeking candidates who: Have strong experience supervising mechanical teams in manufacturing, engineering, construction, or project-led environments. Possess excellent knowledge of mechanical systems, installation standards, and industry regulations. Are confident leaders capable of motivating teams and maintaining high performance. Demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills. Are comfortable working in fast-paced, safety-critical environments. Hold a relevant mechanical qualification (trade qualification or mechanical engineering background). Experience in modular manufacturing, fabrication, or complex mechanical projects is highly advantageous.
