The impact you’ll make Delivers training to both internal and external customers on highly technical and sophisticated products. Training is designed for maintenance engineers that are responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex electro‑mechanical equipment. Effective training of customers and Lam engineers directly contributes to increased equipment availability and improved performance across semiconductor manufacturing operations.
What you’ll do
As an instructor, you will conduct training courses for customers and/or employees at Lam’s Training Centers using complex situations for multiple products.
Training and qualifications for all instructors will take place in Fremont, CA or Tualatin, OR, depending on the products you will support. This training may require extended stays during the qualification period in the assigned locations. All instructors will be required to relocate to Phoenix, AZ on or about May 2027, with full relocation assistance provided.
Utilize performance-based equipment training standards (PBET) with the following training methods:
Hands‑on using Lam capital equipment systems
Classroom lectures
Online classes
Utilizing mix‑media training strategies
Collaborate with engineering, technical support and manufacturing to ensure that course material reflects current product features
Validation of applicability of course material with course development team
Prepare lesson plans from released engineering and field service documents
Must be open to travel up to 20% after the first year
Who we’re looking for
6+ years of military experience in technical, mechanical, or maintenance fields
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities effectively
Clear, confident communication skills—both written and verbal
Customer‑focused mindset with strong service and support skills
Effective presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on‑site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On‑site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On‑site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on‑site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1‑2 days per week on‑site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
