ARAB YOUTH SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT NETWORK The Arab Youth Sustainable Development Network (AYSDN) is a dynamic, youth‑led organization dedicated to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across the Arab region. AYSDN engages youth in policy advocacy, capacity building, environmental sustainability, peacebuilding, and other development‑focused initiatives. Through regional and international partnerships, AYSDN amplifies youth voices and fosters inclusive development solutions.
AYSDN is looking for a suitable Volunteer to fill the position of Translator (Volunteer): Organization: Arab Youth Sustainable Development Network (AYSDN).
Location: Remote.
Commitment: Part‑time (10‑15 hours per week).
Role Summary The Translator is responsible for accurately converting written or spoken content from one language to another while maintaining meaning, tone, and cultural nuances. They ensure clear and effective communication across languages for documents, reports, presentations, and other materials.
Key Responsibilities
Translate documents, reports, and other materials with accuracy and consistency.
Ensure translations maintain the original meaning, style, and cultural context.
Proofread and edit translated content for clarity and grammatical accuracy.
Work closely with teams to understand specific terminology and industry language.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
Research terminology to ensure precise and professional translations.
Assist in verbal translation (interpretation) when needed.
Qualifications & Skills
Has experience in translation.
Translating all reports from Arabic to English and vice versa.
Able to take notes.
Always available when needed.
Committed to the tasks assigned to first and foremost.
