MISSION: Liberty Christian Academy exists to support parents and guardians in their biblical responsibility to nurture and train their children. Thus, LCA provides opportunities which allow students to realize their God-given potential and to live lives that glorify God in the spiritual, academic, social, physical and vocational realms.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides administrative, communication, and operational support for the Athletics Department, including coordination of events, transportation, budgeting, purchasing, and coach support.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Show evidence of proficiency with the use of Microsoft and Google suites.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the areas they will supervise.
- Have a thorough understanding of the Bible.
- Be of outstanding Christian character and witness.
- Have an understanding of the Christian philosophy of education.
- Have the ability to observe, evaluate, and provide direction to the non-teaching staff they supervise.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following are the responsibilities of the Athletic Administrative Assistant in relation to:
ATHLETICS COMMUNICATION
- Manage daily communication with parents, students, staff, and coaches (phone, email, in-person)
- Coordinate school-wide athletic announcements (RenWeb, Bulldog Bark, signage, in-building announcements, social media)
- Maintain and update athletic event displays and promotional messaging
COACH SUPPORT
- Provide administrative support to coaches (printing, resources, forms, keys)
- Maintain coach directory
TRANSPORTATION
- Coordinate team travel logistics, including schedules, vehicle requests, itineraries, and team lodging
- Communicate weekly transportation details and updates with coaches
CALENDAR MANAGEMENT
- Espace athletics calendar (practices, games, events, banquets, etc.)
- Coordinate scheduling updates and approvals with staff and coaches
EVENTS & GAME DAY OPERATIONS
- Plan and execute special events (signing days, senior nights, pep rallies, football events)
- Coordinate logistics, communication, setup, and post-event follow-up
- Collaborate with multiple departments
AWARDS & RECOGNITIONS
- Coordinate athletic awards, certificates, plaques, and recognition programs
ATHLETIC PHOTOS
- Schedule and coordinate team and individual photos
- Distribute photo orders and provide support for media & yearbook needs
PURCHASING & BUDGET SUPPORT
- Assist coaches and admin with budgets, requisitions, tracking, approvals and purchasing
- Support budget planning
ATHLETIC FINANCIALS
- Manage petty cash, credit card reconciliations, and reporting for athletics accounts
- Communicate athletic holds and equipment/uniform tracking with school offices
BOOSTER CLUB (LCAAA) SUPPORT
- Coordinate memberships, communications, and events
- Manage booster materials, sponsorships, and appreciation efforts
SCHOOL STORES
- Oversee spirit wear creation and sales (in-store and online), inventory, and merchandising
- Coordinate major sales events and manage daily store operations
FACILITIES & GAME PREPARATION
- Assist with stadium and facility setup, signage, and game-day readiness
SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP -
- Act as a spiritual leader of school and community
- Show evidence of a consistent time of personal Bible study, prayer and outreach
- Maintain a Christ-like attitude
EVALUATION: The Athletic Administrative Assistant will be evaluated by the Director of Athletics each year. This evaluation will be based on the functions and responsibilities outlined in this job description.
