Position Summary: "The Medical Physicist Assistant provides support to the Clinical Medical Physicists in the general medical physics duties pertaining to operating a radiotherapy clinic. This includes machine and patient specific quality assurance (QA), development and implementation of new technology and process, participation in the acceptance testing and commissioning of a new treatment machine, etc. The individual will work under the direct supervision of a board-certified clinical physicist.
REQUIRED:
* Bachelor's or higher degree from an accredited college or university and/or certification in radiation oncology.
PREFERRED:
* Bachelor's degree in physics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or science from an accredited college or university.
* Experience with Radiation Oncology EMR software and treatment planning systems.
* Proficiency in coding and scripting in C# or Python.
* Ability to work as part of an integrated care and process team.
* Ability to work flexible hours as needed especially late night shifts to conduct patient specific quality assurance.
* Ability to manage time and prioritize work flow.
* Technical problem solving.
* Excellent communication and computer skills.
