Essential Responsibilities:

* Ensure proper patient identity by checking two forms of identification per hospital policy, and confirming physician orders.
* Attend and complete all mandatory meetings and in-services, as well as assigned continuing education.
* Complete and maintain departmental competency checklists.
* Effectively utilize resources and time.
* Identify and report issues and concerns to effectively solve problems.
* Show interest and actively participate in Process Improvement projects, both departmentally and hospital wide.
* Be able to collaborate with others in a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
* Effectively communicates the exam requirements, risks and benefits in order to ease anxiety and obtain informed consent.
* Uses proper radiation protection techniques in order to minimize radiation dose to patients, fetus, staff, and self in accordance with the ALARA principle.
* Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values.
* Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).
* Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public.
