ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Restrain animals for neurological examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Prepare prescriptions as ordered by the doctor: Appropriate container, labeling, directions, and warnings.
- Perform laboratory procedures.
- Assist in performing diagnostic studies, including radiography, CT, and MRI.
- Basic inventory and stocking duties.
- Basic surgical duties: Prepare the surgical suite and anesthesia equipment; pull instruments & open room; scrub & assist in surgery as needed; break down & clean room; clean, wrap and sterilize packs.
- Take the patient's vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in work areas.
- Consistent, on-time arrival at work each day you are scheduled to work.
- Excellent communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician is required.
- Stellar customer service skills are required.
- Basic computer skills are necessary.
- Must be able to stand, stoop, walk, and stand for an extended period of time.
- Required to lift up to forty (40) pounds.
