- Supervise and manage the surgical oncology nursing staff, including hiring, training, evaluating, and mentoring.
- Implement and enforce hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the surgical oncology department, including patient care, staffing, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Maintain high standards of clinical practice, ensuring that all patient care is delivered according to established protocols and best practices.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for oncology patients.
Candidate requirements
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in surgical oncology, with at least 1 year in a management or supervisory role.
- Certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN) is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of surgical oncology care best practices and regulatory requirements.
