Organization Details Organization Information The Rowan County Schools serve approximately 3098 students, preschool through grade 12. Rowan County was one of the first districts to receive district wide accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. In addition to a centralized preschool, four elementary, one middle, one high school and the Blue Grass Discovery Academy, the Rowan County School district also includes the Morehead Youth Development Center. Each school is making great gains in student growth and closing the gap for student achievement. Our vision is "Together We Can." Vacancy ID - 02759 Position Category Other (Student Services) Title Rowan County AWARE Grant Program Director School Year Description Responsibilities Responsible To: Assistant Superintendent Assumes responsibility for daily implementation of grant program requirements and documentation of grant information as required by district, state and federal contacts. Manage and provide oversight of the Project AWARE program in alignment with district, state, and federal policies and practices. Provide consultation to school staff to support the overall mental health goals of the district. Assist school counselors with coordinating interventions with students. Deliver quality, effective student centered services to all students to improve their social, emotional and educational functioning. Document grant components including, but not limited to staff and community training, financial record, management of materials, and adherence to timelines. Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with state, local, public, and private agencies that provide support and services to students and families.
