This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both the technical design side and the coordination side of projects, acting as a key link between customers, engineers, and internal teams. This position combines elements of both design leadership and project coordination, offering the opportunity to be involved from initial concept through startup and final delivery. About the Role:
As a Design / Project Lead, you will play a critical role in bringing projects to life, supporting both the technical design process and overall project coordination. You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and external engineering partners to ensure projects are executed efficiently, accurately, and on schedule. Projects typically range from $5M to $50M and are primarily focused in the agricultural and industrial space. Duties:
Create detailed shop drawings for construction and fabrication using CAD tools Coordinate with suppliers, engineers, and internal teams to support project execution Serve as a technical point of contact for customers and project stakeholders Assist in solving design and engineering challenges in both office and field settings Support material procurement and ensure alignment with project requirements Help maintain project schedules, scope alignment, and communication across teams Collaborate with external engineering partners for design validation and approvals Assist with project startup, commissioning, and final turnover Contribute to continuous improvement of design and project workflows Skills and Qualifications:
Strong CAD background required (SolidWorks, Revit preferred) Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general project documentation Strong communication skills with the ability to work across teams and with customers Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work through complex challenges Team-oriented with a hands-on, collaborative approach Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Education & Experience:
1–5+ years of experience in construction engineering, design, or drafting Degree not required, relevant experience and technical skills are key Experience in industrial or agricultural projects is a plus Additional Details:
