À propos

UCHealth is a Colorado-based, nonprofit health care system dedicated to patient-centered care across multiple hospitals and outpatient facilities. We are seeking a CT Technologist for our Parkview location to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team and support our mission of delivering innovative, compassionate, and high-quality care. In this role, you will perform a wide range of CT imaging procedures for diverse patient populations, working closely with radiologists, nurses, and other clinical professionals in a fast-paced hospital environment. As a CT Technologist at UCHealth Parkview, you will be responsible for preparing and positioning patients for CT examinations, selecting and performing appropriate protocols, and producing high-quality diagnostic images while strictly adhering to radiation safety standards and ALARA principles. You will assess patient history and clinical indications, verify orders, screen for contraindications to contrast, and communicate clearly with patients and families to explain procedures, address concerns, and promote comfort and cooperation throughout the exam. You will perform venipuncture, establish IV access, and safely administer contrast material in accordance with departmental policies and established guidelines, monitoring patients for adverse reactions and reporting any changes in condition. You will operate modern CT scanners, imaging software, and PACS systems, adjusting technical factors and protocols as needed to optimize image quality and support accurate diagnosis. Responsibilities include verifying patient identity, ensuring proper documentation in the electronic medical record, maintaining accurate exam records, and collaborating with radiologists to clarify imaging needs or modify protocols based on patient condition. You will prioritize exams, coordinate with scheduling and nursing staff, and assist with urgent and emergent studies, including trauma, stroke, and other time-sensitive cases, often under pressure while maintaining composure and focus on safety. This position requires strict compliance with UCHealth and regulatory standards related to infection prevention, radiation safety, and patient privacy. You will regularly inspect and maintain CT equipment and work areas, assist with quality control procedures, and promptly report malfunctions or safety concerns. You will contribute to departmental continuous improvement by participating in training, competency assessments, and workflow optimization initiatives, sharing ideas that enhance patient care, efficiency, and image quality. You will be expected to support and mentor newer technologists and students as appropriate, modeling UCHealth’s values of inclusivity, teamwork, and respect. The CT Technologist Parkview role typically involves rotating shifts, which may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as participation in call coverage to support 24/7 imaging services. You will need to adapt to changing clinical priorities, manage a varied workload that ranges from routine outpatient studies to complex inpatient and emergency exams, and consistently provide compassionate, culturally competent care to patients with diverse backgrounds and needs. UCHealth emphasizes an innovative, diverse, and inclusive work environment, and you will be encouraged to pursue ongoing education and professional development, including advanced imaging techniques and certifications. UCHealth offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, which may include medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, retirement savings options, and paid time off. As part of our broader healthcare and medical services team, you will have opportunities for cross-training, advancement, and professional growth within a supportive, collaborative setting. Joining UCHealth as a CT Technologist Parkview means contributing to a patient-care culture focused on excellence, safety, and continuous improvement, while building a rewarding career within one of Colorado’s leading nonprofit health systems.
