Job Description:
SUMMARY: Responsible for the directing and managing the activities of the Transportation Department on assigned shift in accordance with established company policies, procedures and controls. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Interacts effectively with the public and Team Members. Performs excellent customer service at all time. Supervises and directs the operations of the Valet, Shuttle and Limousine and Bell Department on assigned shift. Maintains appropriate staffing levels in the Transportation Department by interviewing, recommending for hire, training, scheduling, evaluating, promoting, disciplining and terminating Team Members, as needed, under the direction of the Transportation Manager. Observes activities and procedures of Transportation Team Members, to ensure smooth and efficient operation of assigned shift. Oversees the cost-efficiency, staffing and uniform standards of Transportation Team Members. Assists in investigating any accidents involving Transportation Department Team Members and recommends appropriate actions to be taken. Ensures a maximum level of customer service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained. Ensures to a high degree the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports. Resolves customer and Team Member complaints or problems in a manner consistent with the Company's expectations. Maintains a consistent, regular attendance record. Ushers for events as needed by management. Performs any reasonable request made by management. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises all Team Members in the Transportation Department and Bell Operations Team Members on assigned shift. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training Team Members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Team Members; addressing complaints and resolving problems. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or GED required. SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: One to two years transportation experience preferred. Excellent verbal and written communications skills required. Valid State Driver's License and excellent driving record. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, to customers and other Team Members of company. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk or hear. The Team Member is also regularly required to stand; walk; run; sit; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. The Team Member is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The Team Member is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Team Member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the Team Member will be exposed to a smoke-filled environment.
