The Position: PAR seeks a dynamic and enthusiastic full-time Respiratory Therapist for our Waterford PAR location.
Job Responsibilities for the Respiratory Therapist
* Administers pulmonary function testing, including spirometry, flow volume loops with and without bronchodilator, DLCO, nitrogen washout, and plethysmography
* Administers six-minute walk test, 02 therapy, and Nebulizer treatment
* Review's pulmonary function studies with medical students, medical staff and physicians
* Educates patients regarding pulmonary medications and use of oxygen
* Coordinates clinic schedules for pulmonary physicians and for special tests within the clinic and outlying facilities
* Maintains pulmonary function equipment and associated supplies
* Completes reports for pulmonary function tests and distributes to ordering physicians
Qualifications for the Respiratory Therapist
* Associate degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
* At least 2 years of experience required
* Clinical experience preferred
Certifications:
* RRT or CPFT is required
* Virginia State Respiratory Therapist license is required
