Mechanical Quantity Surveyor - Portugal We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Quantity Surveyor with a minimum of 5 years experience to join a team on a major Data Centre in Portugal. The successful candidate will take commercial responsibility for mechanical services packages on a technically complex, high-value development, ensuring strong cost control, contractual compliance, and financial performance from pre-construction through to final account. Responsibilities Full commercial management of mechanical services packages including HVAC, pipework, plant and associated systems Preparation and submission of interim valuations, variation assessments, cost reports and final accounts Administration of standard forms of contract (e.g. JCT, NEC) and timely issuance of contractual notices Procurement, negotiation and commercial management of subcontractors Cost forecasting, cash flow management and margin protection throughout the project lifecycle Identification, evaluation and management of commercial risks and opportunities Requirements Minimum 5+ years experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within mechanical or MEP contracting. Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline Experience delivering large-scale, technically complex projects such as data centres, pharmaceutical or industrial builds Professional accreditation (RICS or equivalent) desirable Strong commercial awareness and understanding of mechanical building services EU Passport is essential.
