Project Manager Rail Infrastructure Project A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee a major rail infrastructure project spanning the Leitrim to Longford corridor. This is a key leadership role on a strategically important transport project involving significant civil engineering, enabling works, and rail corridor upgrades. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of the project, ensuring it is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while coordinating multiple stakeholders across the rail and civil engineering sectors. Key Responsibilities Lead the delivery of a large-scale rail infrastructure project across the LeitrimLongford corridor Manage project programme, budget, and resource allocation from planning through to completion Oversee site teams, including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors Coordinate with rail authorities, designers, consultants, and key stakeholders Ensure compliance with all rail industry standards, specifications, and safety requirements Manage risk, identify issues early, and implement effective mitigation strategies Monitor project progress and provide regular reporting to senior management and clients Oversee procurement, subcontractor management, and commercial performance Ensure strict adherence to health & safety regulations and rail safety protocols Drive quality assurance and delivery of works in line with technical requirements Requirements Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline Minimum 5+ years experience in Project Management within civil engineering or infrastructure Strong experience on rail, transport, or major linear infrastructure projects is essential Irish or UK construction experience required Proven ability to manage large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders Strong commercial awareness and contract management experience Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills Ability to manage complex programmes and work under pressure Full driving licence required Whats on Offer Competitive salary (€85,000 €95,000 DOE) Opportunity to lead a major rail infrastructure project in Ireland Long-term career progression within a leading civil engineering contractor Strong support from experienced commercial and engineering teams Exposure to high-profile national infrastructure delivery To Apply If you are an experienced Project Manager with a background in rail or major civil infrastructure projects and are seeking a new opportunity on a key transport scheme between Leitrim and Longford, please contact Amy Maguire for a confidential discussion or send your CV.
