Title: Physical Therapy Assistant

Schedule: 8 hours shift

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Requirements:

• Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• Proof of current CPR certification
• Current driver's license
• Reliable transportation and insurance
• 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Administer the physical therapy treatment plan developed by the Physical Therapist.
• Provide non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, and utilize modalities such as heat, light, cold, water, and electrical therapies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of clients' statuses and submit clinical paperwork timely.
• Participate in educational meetings and contribute to department in-services.
• Communicate any equipment failures, supply shortages, and changes in staff or client status to the appropriate personnel.
• Schedule clients and perform various office tasks as needed.
• Adhere to infection control and universal precautions during patient care activities.
• Accept clinical assignments that align with education and competencies.
