The pay range for this position is listed below. May be eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus!
Student Loan Repayment: This position may be eligible for Avera's Student Loan Repayment Program, which helps you pay off your loans and save money. Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help you pay down your principal balance faster.
Be part of a multidisciplinary team built with compassion and the goal of Moving Health Forward for you and our patients. Evaluates patients, develops treatment plans and provides treatment for medically necessary speech therapy services addressing a patient's deficits in speech, language, cognition, voice and dysphagia in the home setting. The Speech Pathologists demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served.
Evaluates assigned patients through selection, administration, and interpretation of formal and informal diagnostic assessments to determine the levels of functioning and intervention needs in all areas of speech pathology.
Demonstrates knowledge of age-specific factors and performs satisfactorily related to patient's age infant through geriatrics as noted on unit specific guidelines and competencies.
Uses selected activities and/or tasks to promote and maintain health, and to achieve treatment goals.
Provides direct therapy services to patients using various functional settings and strategies.
Plans therapy with in the patient's individual physical, emotional and intellectual capabilities as indicated and coordinated with the rehabilitation, medical, and nursing care plans.
Communicates effectively with patient, family, physician, and other disciplinary team members regarding the patient status, progress, and needs.
Establishes rapport and work cooperatively with interdisciplinary team members (including family/physician) throughout the patient's intervention program.
Evaluates and monitors clinical internship with students affiliating in various universities/colleges.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
CCC-SLP - American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or presently active in a supervised clinical fellowship year and certification received within one year of employment Upon Hire or
Speech-Language Pathologist - Licensing Board An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire
Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
~1-3 years Speech Language Pathologist in a hospital, SNF, outpatient and/or home health setting
