We have a highly sought after opening for a Sales Executive role for an in-office position in the Kansas City metro. In this role we are looking for an organized and driven individual that has a "Bring The Hammer" mentality.
Our Sales Executives support growth and profitability in an assigned territory. This is achieved through specific training related to Property & Casualty insurance allowing for support of relationships with new and existing customers. The Sales Executive will have a strong comprehension of the sales process and excel at generating leads, building relationships, and closing deals. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner who has strong negotiating skills, adaptability and an ability to showcase what our company offers in a compelling way.
Intrepid Insurance is a part of a Fortune 500 company listed on the New York Stock Exchange and part of the S&P 500. Intrepid Direct, operating as a division of W.R. Berkley Insurance, is a direct writer providing insurance products and services to these businesses. Currently, Intrepid Direct is focused on the quick service franchise restaurants, automotive aftermarket, and fitness business segments. As a quickly growing organization, Intrepid Direct will be expanding into other business segments presenting the ideal sales candidate tremendous opportunity for growth.
- Identify and cultivate new commercial business prospects to provide Property and Casualty insurance.
- Achieve weekly, monthly, and annual sales quotas by successfully implementing sales and marketing strategies and tactics
- Responsible for new business production, retention & profitability within a defined territory.
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers in support of growth targets.
- Engage prospective opportunities for their insurance needs within a variety of Intrepid targeted verticals.
- Achieve weekly, monthly, and annual sales quotas by successfully implementing sales and marketing strategies and tactics
- Work closely with other Intrepid Direct teammates to maintain and enhance customer relationships and provide seamless program / product implementation.
- Often tasked with giving presentations and attending networking events and trade shows, Account Executives must be both personable and professional.
- Sales Executives work in an entrepreneurial atmosphere with six figure income opportunity.
- Bachelor's degree and two years of successful outside sales experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Successful track record of business-to-business sales and territory management.
- At least 1-2 years' work experience in a sale's specific role with a training, organizational development, or content development focus.
- Ability to learn and utilize company-approved software and business system applications.
- Ability to analyze data, insurance policies, loss runs, and financial statements.
- Ability to work within a regulatory environment.
- Strong ability to balance persuasion with professionalism
