Our client is a well-established manufacturer's representative in the plumbing and heating industry, serving since 1959. They collaborate with architects, engineers, wholesalers, facilities and contractors in the Upper New York and Northwest Pennsylvania regions. Due to their growth, they are seeking to fill an opening for an inside sales/customer service representative.
The ideal candidate will be a dependable individual with a strong focus on customer service, eager to start a career with a respected local organization. The position involves handling customer inquiries, processing orders, coordinating with manufacturers, and maintaining relationships with existing customers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding products and services.
- Process customer orders via phone or email.
- Check the availability of stock and shipping dates.
- Quote prices, fill orders according to customer specifications, and process sales data.
- Assist the outside sales team by preparing price quotes and sourcing products.
- Meet or exceed customer needs by being a reliable and engaging team member.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Enthusiastic and independent worker.
- Prior customer service and/or inside sales experience desired.
- Strong data entry and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask.
- Quick learner, able to adapt to new software and manufacturers' ordering systems.
Our client offers competitive compensation and a generous benefits package, which includes health insurance (medical, dental, and vision), paid vacation, a matched 401(k), and profit sharing. Hours of operation are Monday Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm or 7:30am to 4:30pm with 1 hour for lunch.
