What We're Looking For:Iridium is seeking a (Full-stack) Software Developer III to join our B/OSS Billing Development team. As a Software Developer III (B/OSS), you'll be responsible for the design and development of Billing and Provisioning applications and will perform full stack software development within the B/OSS delivery team. In this role, you will also provide technical support, as required, to supplement the operations and other support teams. As a Software Developer III, you will be expected to display a depth of knowledge in development, maintenance, and support of multiple core software systems within the development team product catalogue. What You'll Do: Design, develop, and maintain applications across the full stack
Build and support Java?based services and related components
Troubleshoot and resolve issues independently
Participate in Agile ceremonies, design discussions, and requirements gathering
Help manage the backlog by refining stories and acceptance criteria
Contribute to code reviews and ensure adherence to standards
Create builds, patches, and deployments
Support testing, integration, and product release activities
Maintain clear documentation for internal teams and external partners
What You'll Need to Succeed:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
5+ years of relevant experience in software development
3+ years of Full-Stack Web Application Development
Front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery)
Back-end (PHP, Java)
Database (Oracle, MySQL)
API (RESTful Web Services)
Strong communication skills, with the ability to confidently present products, deliverables, analyses, and/or issues
Possess an analytical mindset, with the ability to understand a situation or problem and think critically to make decisions or come up with solutions
B e comfortable managing upward, including being a proactive communicator and asking for help when needed
Have confidence and be able to establish valuable relationships with others
Must be able to prioritize key tasks and have a strong sense of ownership over your work
Be active in seeking out ways to continuously improve yourself and gain new knowledge Things That Would be Great if You Brought to the Table :
Knowledge or familiarity of Spring Boot, Docker, Agile Software Development, Atlassian Tool Suite
Experience developing software tools and applications for a real-time operations environment
Other programming languages (C, C++, Perl, Python, Shell Scripting)
Domain knowledge on billing / payment / provisioning solutions
We'll Also Need You To:
Occassionally work extended hours during releases or troubleshooting of any critical customer impacting issues
Work a hybrid schedule that includes at least 60% of the time (3 days per week) in office
Provide production support after hours for any critical issues that cannot wait till next working day Work Environment:This position primarily works in an office setting and is largely sedentary with the majority of the position working with a computer. The role typically requires the use of basic office equipment such as a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer. We believe in-person connection drives innovation, strengthens mentorship, and builds culture, while flexibility enables employees to do their best work. Under Iridium's Hybrid Work Policy, employees are expected to work at least three days per week (approximately 60%) in an Iridium office to support collaboration, relationship-building, and professional growth.
