Role- Devops Engineer/Kafka Specialist Location- Dallas TX Role: Looking for a dynamic Platform Lead with expertise in Kafka and DevOps Engineering, and experience in a bank or any financial institution and significant experience engaging with Onshore stakeholders and leading an Offshore based Crew. Future duties and responsibilities Engaging with Client Stakeholders on a daily basis to understand and assess the work packages Lead a team of professionals in India to get the work done Be a single-point-of-contact for the Kafka Admin work deliverables Be able to lead the Platform Operations Team from Onshore. Required qualifications to be successful in this role Clearly identify the essential qualification vs the desired qualifications. What skills/experience must this person have to be considered? Do not include any “CLIENT IDENTIFIERS” such as client name, client proprietary system/technology, or client confidential information. Dedicated KAFKA Administration and Operations (should know Apache KAFKA architecture in-depth, KSQL, Confluent Cloud, Installation, configuration and management of KAFKA brokers, KAFKA Connect) Infrastructure as Code Automation (Terraform and Ansible) CI/CD pipeline development Performance Tuning and Optimization (on KAFKA clusters including partitions, replication factors and consumer lag) Monitoring and Observability (Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace, Logscale) Security and Compliance (Data encryption and authorization, ACLs) Collaboration (Define KAFKA topic structures, schemas and best practices for producers and consumers) Containerization (Docker and Kubernetes for Openshift) Proficient in Python for Automation Site Reliability Engineering experience (good to have)
