office.Position OverviewWe are looking for a Senior Cloud Automation Engineer to support the build and ongoing improvement of cloud environments across AWS and Azure. This role is hands-on and focused on automation, including writing infrastructure code, improving deployment pipelines, and helping teams operate more efficiently in the cloud.The position works closely with engineering and security teams to deliver consistent, repeatable infrastructure and deployment patterns. The focus is on doing the work, solving problems, and improving how cloud environments are built and maintained over time.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain cloud infrastructure in AWS and AzureWrite and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, including reusable modulesDevelop and improve CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab, or JenkinsImplement and support Git-based deployment workflowsAutomate provisioning of cloud resources, including networking, compute, and storageSupport identity and access management, including SSO, roles, and permissionsTroubleshoot issues across environments and assist teams during deploymentsRefactor and improve existing infrastructure and pipelines where neededDocument solutions and patterns for reuse across teamsSupport infrastructure for data platforms, including storage, data pipelines, and integration with analytics toolsHelp enable environments that support AI or machine learning workloads where neededRequired Skills ; ability to obtain a Secret security clearance 5-8+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or similar rolesHands-on experience with AWS and or Azure in production environmentsStrong experience writing and maintaining Terraform codeExperience building and supporting CI/CD pipelinesProficiency with Git and version-controlled workflowsSolid understanding of cloud networking concepts such as VPCs, subnets, routing, and security groupsUnderstanding of security fundamentals, including identity and access management, SSO, RBAC, and encryptionExperience supporting operational aspects such as monitoring, logging, and troubleshootingScripting experience using Python, Bash, or similarAbility to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independentlyDesired SkillsExperience with GitOps style workflowsExposure to Kubernetes or container-based platformsFamiliarity with cloud security tools and compliance frameworksExperience supporting data platforms or data engineering workflowsExposure to AI or machine learning environments or supporting infrastructureExperience working in government or regulated environmentsAWS or Azure certificationsECS Federal LLC is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate or allow discrimination on the basis any characteristic protected by law.
