POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Résidence Cité Rive is located on the banks of the Rivière des Prairies, in the Rivière des Prairies borough. This residential complex comprises 5 phases, spread across 5 residential towers, for a total of 850 apartments.
The Resident Attendant ensures the comfort, well-being, safety, and general needs of the residents by providing them with hygiene and comfort care.
We are currently seeking an empathetic and resident-focused Resident Attendant for a permanent, full-time position of 36 hours per week, on a 9/15 day shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and one weekend out of two.
The candidate must hold Competency 6.


ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adhere to standards and regulations in accordance with private seniors' home certification and employer policies
  • Assist and/or accompany residents in getting around
  • Contribute to the adjustment of a residents' action plan based on their observations
  • In collaboration with the different teams, carry out health and hygienic care to the residents while maintaining their dignity and integrity .
  • Proactively assist and support the residents
  • Respond to all emergency situations
  • While interacting with them, report any noticeable changes in a residents mental or physical health to the on-call nurse.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Hold a PAB diploma recognized by the ministry
  • Good team player
  • Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years experience
  • Up to date CPR / AED training certificates
  • PDSB training
  • Possessing skill 6 is mandatory.
