POSITION DESCRIPTION The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine is currently seeking a BI Data Engineer to join our team of professionals. Duties include: Builds and maintains processes that move data from where it's collected into systems where it can be stored, organized, and used. Responsible for keeping the data systems running efficiently and updated as business needs grow and change. Oversees the organization and structuring of data to ensure it is easy to analyze and reliable for decision-making. Develops and updates reports and dashboards in Power BI so staff and leadership can quickly understand trends, performance, and key information. Partners with staff across the organization to assess information needs while ensuring data remains accurate, secure, and responsibly utilized. Provides expertise and guidance to colleagues on the best ways to handle and visualize data. Responsible for documenting processes and developing clear, comprehensive guides to ensure data workflows are transparent, accessible, and easily understood. Stays current with new tools and approaches to continuously improve how the organization works with data. Performs related duties as required or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field and four (4) years of related experience or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field and two (2) years of related experience.
