* Design and optimize photodiode epitaxial structures for high-performance optoelectronic applications * Develop mask layouts for device fabrication and integration * Analyze device characterization data and correlate performance trends with design parameters * Collaborate with epitaxy, process integration, packaging, and test teams across the full product development lifecycle * Lead or support failure analysis to identify root causes of electrical, optical, or reliability issues * Support wafer-level characterization, reliability studies, and process optimization efforts * Work cross-functionally to improve manufacturability and production yield * Occasional travel to support collaboration with partners and manufacturing sites
Qualifications
* Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related * 5+ years of industry experience in optoelectronic or semiconductor device development preferred * Hands-on experience in photodiode design and development required * Strong understanding of device physics, modeling, and performance trade-offs * Experience with epitaxial processes, wafer fabrication, packaging, testing, and reliability/failure analysis * Demonstrated ability to support designs through development into scalable manufacturing * Strong collaboration skills across multidisciplinary engineering teams * Self-driven, detail-oriented, and dependable in a fast-paced technical environment
