DescriptionPrimary Responsibilities/Requirements:
- Bring patients back to exam rooms and triage patients
- Locate any necessary imaging, test results or reports for upcoming appointments
- Prepare exam rooms, restock supplies for clinic, power up computers, etc.
- Prepare for clinic by printing out patient information as requested by physician
- Assist other team members as needed
- Assist with phone messages
- MRI/CT scheduling/precerting
- Prepare for clinics by printing out progress notes and test results
- Obtain physician signature on miscellaneous forms
- Travel locally to satellite offices as schedule requires
- Assist with in-office procedures
- Provide coverage for other clinical teams as needed
- Friendly and professional patient communication when answering and returning patient phone calls, providing various forms of patient education and handouts, escorting patients to and from exam rooms, appointment/surgery reminder calls, responding to and chart patient messages and communicating test results to patients with direction from physician
Must also possess:
- Clinical experience in healthcare or orthopedics a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, TOC physicians and staff
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask and meet deadlines
- Outstanding organizational, verbal and writing skills
- Independent, self-starting and highly motivated
- Strong patient care and interpersonal skills
- Proven positive, "teamwork" attitude and work history
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to use arms, hands, and fingers skillfully
- Frequent moving, pushing, pulling of heavy patients and/or equipment
- Constant standing and walking for long periods of time
- Must be agile and able to work efficiently in space limited areas
- Consistently work at a productive pace
- Must readily adapt to frequent treatment schedule changes
Preferred: Certified Medical Assist.
