Monday - Thursday (4 days x 10 hours); 2:30PM-12:30AMTHE DAY TO DAY...Plans and coordinates the flow of purchased components to support all processes according to established manufacturing plans and lead timesTrains, coaches and coordinates the activities of material handlers and parts pickers within their assigned areas. Improves and ensures compliance with established standard workProactively contacts suppliers in order to expedite and de-expedite in coordination with Material LeaderLaunches purchase orders to obtain materialInvolves supply management team to obtain action, when necessaryManage the process in place to issue signals to suppliers to deliver material to assigned assembly / manufacturing areas (electronic kanban, kanban cards, labels, etc)Respond to failed purchase orders to resolve supplier delivery issues, respective to areaOrder materials and supplies as neededCoordinates problem solving activities and implements corrective actions for the root causes of all material related production interruptionsResponsible for the 6S activities and production control board maintenance, in coordination with the Material LeaderMaintains the Manufacturing Order (MO) system and/or purchase orders, respective to areaCoordinates the disposition of all material rejects, respective to areaMaintains pull systems for assigned areas of responsibilityMonitors deliveries for timeliness and problem-solves late deliveries with the supplierCommunicates all concerns that may cause delays in production with material leaders, participating in development of alternate plansDevelops, improves, and maintains visual inventory management (kanban cards, dedicated baskets, supermarket signs, labels, etc)Controls the creation of serial numbers for finished goodsTHE QUALIFICATIONS...Associate's Degree preferredMinimum of one-year related experience and/or trainingForklift and high lift certification preferredTHE WORK ENVIRONMENT...Ability to stand for 8-10 hours a day, depending on shiftMust be able to use hands to position parts in placeAble to lift up to 35 pounds at varying frequenciesMust wear required Personal Protective EquipmentDesire for personal development and growthAbility to work as part of a teamApplicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.About AriensCoSince 1933, the AriensCo name has been associated with reliable, durably crafted, high-performance outdoor power equipment.
