Maritime Case Ltd. is seeking Licensed Heavy Equipment Technician applications to fill the positions of in-house and road technicians. Located in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Maritime Case is the sole CASE Construction dealership servicing New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia.
The main purpose of this position is to repair and recondition customers’ and company equipment, both on the road and in the shop, as assigned by the Service Management team. It is of utmost importance to complete these tasks in a timely, efficient and productive manner while upholding the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Performing preventative equipment maintenance activities
* Service and repair on Case’s full product line
* Trouble shooting hydraulic, electrical, fuel and cooling systems and diesel engines
* Navigating computer systems and technical manuals to search and order parts
* Testing machines to ensure proper performance after repair
* Clearly communicating with the Service Management team and customers the status and condition of a service job
* Maintaining detailed records and forms for each service job
* Performing field service jobs in an expedient, courteous manner
* Attaining service training requirements
* Maintaining a clean and safe work area
* Overtime will be required
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and educational background:
* Experience in a dealership environment is an asset, but not a necessity.
* Proven mechanical abilities and strong working knowledge of mechanical application or repair techniques.
* Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
* High level of integrity, discretion and accountability.
* Ability to work independently, and under pressure, in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
* Ability to always deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically and professionally.
* Exceptional organizational skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
* Valid drivers license and passport.
* High School diploma or equivalent.
* Heavy Equipment Service Technician Certificate
