À propos
*About Odola*
Odola is a financial platform built for diaspora communities — people who earn in one country and support families in another. We give them an account, a card, cross-border transfers, and a Gold Vault to protect their savings.
We're early-stage, building fast in a space where the stakes are real: a failed transfer isn't a UX bug, it's a family missing rent or medical care. That shapes our priorities and the standard we hold ourselves to.
*The role*
We're hiring a Product Manager to own features end-to-end across our payments and accounts surface — from first user interview through launch through iteration. You'll define the problem, write the spec, make the call when engineering and design disagree, and own the number after launch — across both our core payments product and as we move into new markets and adjacent product categories.
You'll work directly with the Head of Product, engineering leads, and compliance. There's no PM layer below you and no product ops function to lean on.
*What you'll do*
* Write PRDs and acceptance criteria that close ambiguity rather than defer it
* Run discovery: user interviews, funnel analysis, support signal, competitor research
* Lead launches end-to-end — engineering, compliance, CS, and marketing all need a clear point of coordination
* Shape the scope and sequencing of new market entries and new product verticals — from initial feasibility through to go-live
* Define metrics before build, track them after launch, and document what you actually learned
* Navigate compliance and regulatory constraints as product inputs — not blockers, not someone else's problem
* Make scope decisions under time pressure and communicate trade-offs clearly to stakeholders
* As we grow, own a clear area of the product — define the roadmap, the success metrics, and the sequencing
*What we're looking for*
*Must have*
* 3+ years of product management experience in regulated fintech — payments, remittance, banking, neobanking, or adjacent
* At least one feature you can trace from ideation → launch → measured outcome; scale doesn't matter, ownership does
* Experience defining metrics and using data to make and defend product decisions
* Demonstrated ability to work with compliance and legal as product partners throughout the build cycle
* Clear, precise written communication — your specs should not require clarifying conversations
* You've shipped or materially iterated on a wallet, account, or account-to-account transfer product connected to live bank rails — ACH, SEPA, Faster Payments, SWIFT, Interac, NPP, or equivalent
*Highly favourable*
* You understand STP rate, settlement timing, scheme rules, and how product decisions affect them
* You've built in a major market: US, UK, Canada, EU, Australia
*Nice to have*
* Experience on a card product (debit or prepaid)
* Startup or scale-up background — you've built process alongside product
* Involvement in designing or tuning a dynamic customer risk assessment (CRA) or onboarding risk model
* Ability to write SQL to pull your own data without waiting on an analyst
*What good looks like here*
The PMs who don't work out here have a consistent pattern: strong process vocabulary, shallow decision ownership. They treat compliance as a gate rather than a design constraint. They've never been wrong in a way they can articulate.
The PM who will thrive:
* Has shipped something real on payment rails and can go five levels deep on the decisions they made
* Knows that "the compliance team said no" is a problem statement, not a resolution
* Writes specs that engineers can build without filling in the gaps
* Can hold a position under pressure — and back down when the argument is better
Benefits:
* Flexible schedule
