WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As a Territory Manager, you will be in a rewarding sales career with unlimited earning potential and opportunities for growth. In this role, you will drive strategic material handling solutions by leveraging the full portfolio of equipment, technology, service, and fleet management offerings from Papé Material Handling across an assigned territory and a defined group of major account customers.
You will be responsible for territory coverage, developing new business while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers across all segments. In addition, you will identify, prioritize, and grow key accounts and target customers, serving as a trusted partner within those organizations.
Success in this role includes balancing territory development with focused major account management, actively managing and developing a robust sales pipeline, and meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. You will ensure all opportunities—both territory-driven and major account-focused—are accurately tracked through Salesforce from contact to closing.
WHAT YOU NEED:
- 5 or more years of warehouse material handling equipment sales preferred.
• Experience managing both a geographic territory and large strategic or national accounts preferred.
• Ability to coordinate complex, multi-location deals and internal teams.
• Strong consultative selling and relationship management skills across a diverse customer base.
• Self-motivation, persistency, and ability to work independently while managing territory priorities.
• Proven track record demonstrating strong articulation of product selling points via phone, email, and virtual (Zoom and MS Teams).
• Ability to prospect, develop new business, and identify target accounts within a territory.
• Four-year post-secondary education/Bachelor's degree (preferred).
• Positive attitude and demonstrated ability to deal with rejection.
• Strong oral and written communication skills along with excellent listening skills.
• Ability to use Salesforce CRM.
• Strong PowerPoint presentation skills.
• Strong Excel spreadsheet skills.
• Overnight travel is required in this position.
