This is a part-time Teaching Assistant (TA) position for the Apparel Design Program for Summer 2026. You will help with organizing and maintaining the Milam 233 sewing lab and materials library. Pay rate for this position is $16.05 per hour. OSU is committed to ensuring students are prepared for success after graduation through intentional skill development as student employees. In this position, students learn and build vital career-readiness skills in the primary areas below: Teamwork, Professionalism, Career & Self-Development. Organizing and maintain the Milam 233 sewing lab, including machine maintenance, cleaning, and sorting supplies. Organize the materials library for Apparel Design program use. Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study. Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment. Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard. Applicants must have successfully completed DSGN327 with a B+ or higher and have at least junior standing in the Apparel Design Program. They must have knowledge of textiles and materials. They must have the ability to operate Milam 233 sewing machines and related equipment. Work a maximum 5 hours per week, as outlined by supervisor. Work will be performed on campus in Milam Hall.
