This role is based four days a week in our beautiful countryside Skipton office.
*Purpose of the Role*
The Senior Product Designer leads business-critical design and development projects from initial brief through to production, ensuring innovative and high-quality products across categories such as Travel, Car Safety, and Home & Nursery Equipment.
This role requires expertise in interpreting customer briefs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering creative solutions that align with the company’s vision and standards. The Senior Product Designer is responsible for driving projects forward, maintaining design excellence, and supporting the brand’s leadership in the market.

*Main Duties*
These responsibilities are central to delivering successful products, maintaining high standards, and ensuring effective collaboration across teams and with external partners.
* *Lead business-critical design and development projects* from initial brief through to production, ensuring strong design vision and direction across all assigned projects.
* *Present and communicate design concepts and directions* to management, directors, and both internal and external stakeholders.
* *Organise and lead meetings* with the design team, internal departments, senior leadership, and external partners.
* *Oversee Aesthetic Function Design (AFD) CAD and 2D artwork* for developing components and assemblies in collaboration with suppliers.
* *Collaborate with creative, marketing, and sales teams *to ensure the design vision is clearly communicated and realized.
* *Research market trends, competitors, and new opportunities *to keep the brand at the forefront of the industry.
* *Develop and manage materials, colours, and finishes* for assigned projects, and build strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
* *Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and environmental standards* in partnership with the QC and Technical teams.
* *Produce accurate specifications and documentation* for manufacturers and stakeholders.
* *Continuously develop digital design skills* and promote efficient, innovative working practices within the team.
*Skills & Experience Required*
* Degree in Product or relevant 3D/Industrial Design or equivalent qualification.
* Strong pervious experience at design level or alternative industry experience.
* Produce 3D CAD and 2D artwork required to successfully complete each project.
* Provide excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and concepts effectively.
* Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating beautiful and impactful designs.
* Proven ability to execute and successfully deliver projects into the market
* Experience working with customers and interpreting design briefs.
* Creating visually compelling concepts.
* Proficient in SolidWorks, Keyshot, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
* Driven to learn all new digital programs necessary, to enhance efficiency and creative excellence.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
