The Retail Attendant is responsible for executing retail operations at the marina with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. The primary responsibility is to ensure each customer has an exceptional boating experience, addressing their needs with professionalism. The Retail Attendant projects a professional company image through all types of interaction. Given the fast-paced nature of the marina environment, the Retail Attendant should be able to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a positive demeanor.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive money for purchases and calculate customers change, may have to operate cash register depending on the marina
- Provides the highest level of customer and guest services, expedites any and all requests from vessels
- Greet customers courteously and sell merchandise to them
Education and Experience:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must have highly effective communication skills and time management skills
- General accounting knowledge and basic understanding of financial statements
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to independently lift, carry, push, and pull up to fifteen (15) pounds
- Must be able to swim or be willing to wear a personal flotation device in instances of emergency
- Must have flexible schedule to include working weekends and holidays during busy season
