We're seeking a Construction Sales Executive in the Los Angeles area to generate new construction revenue and grow regional building automation sales through established industry relationships.
Impact
- Generate consistent new construction revenue and exceed annual sales targets in the local marketplace - Leverage existing industry relationships to kickstart regional team growth - Drive customer migrations from legacy control platforms to modern building automation solutions - Strengthen the company's market presence across the greater Los Angeles region
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a territory sales plan targeting commercial construction and building automation opportunities - Leverage an existing book of business and professional network to build a strong sales pipeline - Identify and pursue new accounts through prospecting, referrals, and industry networking - Migrate existing legacy control customers to updated building automation platforms - Prepare and present proposals, scope comparisons, and pricing packages to owners, engineers, and contractors - Coordinate with project management and engineering teams to ensure sold projects are delivered successfully - Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline tracking, and activity reporting - Attend industry events, trade shows, and association meetings to expand market reach
Requirements
Must-Haves
- Established book of business and professional network within the Los Angeles construction market - Proven track record of generating at least one million dollars in annual sales - Strong understanding of building automation systems and commercial HVAC controls - Familiarity with legacy control platforms such as Siemens and current migration pathways - Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Nice-to-Haves
- Background growing sales at a smaller or mid-sized mechanical or controls contracting firm - Experience selling design-build or retrofit building automation projects - Knowledge of BACnet, Tridium Niagara, or other open protocol platforms
Compensation and Logistics
Competitive base salary plus commission depending on experience; benefits include health insurance, paid time off, and holidays.
